This is a great addition to the Modern Houses section and at the same time one of the great Los Angeles Landmarks. You can find this amazing architectural landmark in Pacific Paliasdes, Los Angeles. This concrete and wood gem is the work of former architect and builder Robert Bridges. The house is great; there is a great synergy between the chosen materials: concrete and wood, they create a relaxed and elegant interior.
In 1979 Bridges bought the house for $40,000. “At the time, it was the only thing I could afford,” shares Bridges. There is a really great article about the history and process of the house that you can read on the New York Times.
