Interior Design: Dream Factory
With classic Danish design, characterful vintage and some of her own creations, the architect, author and current television host Frederikke Aagaard come up with the perfect mix of her industrial loft apartment in Copenhagen.
The passion for design and art shines through when you let your eyes run around in Frederikke Aagaard occasion. The architect, author, designer, curator and current TV host DR-series Seductive Rum has created a home that is characterized by a particular approach to decor – a place where art objects, furniture and architecture creates a coherent whole. The apartment in Copenhagen has white walls and floors, high ceilings and lots of light coming in through the many windows, causing a 180 m² loft apartment to seem even larger than it really is.
As she puts it in her own words ” both daylight and lamps are important to my way of thinking about space and interior design, and it also affects my mood. I believe that light is the most important factor when you have to organize – more important than, say, furniture. And I prefer many small lamps that create different light zones and fulfill different functions. A room can completely change the character if you use light correctly. And when I’m out to decorate with private or business, it is often their way of using light or use light in that is the problem”.
